SUCCESSFUL UMPIRE CLINIC HOSTED BY ETBA

On April 11, ETBA proudly hosted a Baseball Ontario Level 1/2 Umpire Training Clinic – and we’re thrilled to share that it was a huge success!

The clinic reached full attendance, bringing together new and developing umpires from across the community for a full day of learning, development, and hands-on practice.

👨‍⚖️ Skills covered during the clinic included:

• Plate and base positioning fundamentals
• Strike zone consistency and pitch tracking
• Game management and communication skills
• Handling common game situations and rule applications
• Mechanics, signals, and on-field confidence building

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, practice mechanics, and gain valuable insight from experienced instructors, helping prepare them for the upcoming season.

Due to the strong turnout and positive feedback, ETBA is already exploring the possibility of hosting another umpire clinic in the near future. Stay tuned for more details!
